Ohio Steel "#3 Cart"
This little cart looks close to the one IH sold, and it actually is expect for major thing. This cart actually tips and dumps like a regular cart with a lever. The IH branded one was solidly mounted to the axle and did not have a way to dump it without doing it by hand. I believe Ohio Steel most likely made the #3 as well as the #2 (probably even the #4) for IH considering this cart I found as well as other #2 style carts that were not IH.
The cart we have is pretty nice, having a bit of rust on the bottom, but nothing that can't be fixed. I hope some time in the near future to restore it, especially since it looks really cool behind anything and would not take much time to redo. I thought about passing this off as an IH by placing an IH decal like their #3 had, but I really don't want to do that considering I would feel a little guilty knowing it isn't. I am sure the Ohio Steel is rare enough that having the original decals made and put on will not affect it in any way. I do know when it is all painted up it will be very nice behind any rider or even garden tractor.
